Tree removal in the Chattanooga area
Storm damage, dead or leaning trees, or a lot to clear. One quick request and a trusted, insured local tree company gets back to you with a free quote. Add stump grinding and the whole job is handled.
What we can help with
Storm and emergency damage
Trees or big limbs down on a roof, fence, car or driveway after a storm. Send a photo and we pass it along right away.
Hazardous trees
Dead, leaning, cracked or rotting trees, especially ones over the house, driveway or play area. Taking them down before the next storm is cheaper than cleanup after.
Lot and yard clearing
Clearing several trees for a building lot, addition, garden, shed or pool, or opening up an overgrown back yard.
Add stump grinding after removal
Removals usually leave a stump. Pick "Both (tree + stump)" and Precision Stump Grind grinds it below grade so you can plant grass over it.
Signs a tree may need to come down
- Large dead limbs or bare sections of the crown in summer.
- Fungus, mushrooms or soft wood at the base.
- A new lean, cracked soil or lifted roots on one side.
- Deep cracks or splits in the trunk, or a split where two trunks meet.
- Branches over the roof, driveway or power lines that keep shedding.
Not sure? Ask the tree pro whether pruning could save it. Not every problem tree has to go.
What drives the price
- Height and trunk size. Bigger trees mean more climbing, rigging and haul-off.
- What it could hit. Trees over houses, fences or lines have to be lowered in pieces.
- Access. Steep lots on Signal Mountain or tight backyards can mean more hand work.
- Cleanup. Haul-off of logs and brush, and the stump, are often priced separately.

Questions to ask any tree service
- Can I see your certificate of insurance? Ask for both general liability and workers' comp.
- Is the stump included? If not, ask about grinding at the same time.
- Is haul-off included? Get it in writing.
- Who is doing the climbing? Ask whether a certified arborist is involved for tricky removals.
Common questions
Who does the tree work?
An independent, insured local tree company we connect you with. They quote you directly, do the removal and carry their own insurance. We do not remove trees, and neither does Precision Stump Grind. Any stump grinding is done by Precision Stump Grind.
Can you help after a storm?
Yes. Send the request or call and we will pass it to a tree company right away. If a tree is on a power line, stay clear and call EPB or your electric provider first. If it hit your house, call your insurance company too.
Can I get the stump ground at the same time?
Yes. Pick "Both (tree + stump)" in the form. The tree company handles the removal and Precision Stump Grind grinds the stump, usually soon after.
